1. The keeper must be installed onto the timber windowsill. If your awning window does not have a sill, then we recommend using a Hopper Window Catch.
2. This item has a clear lacquer coating to protect the polished brass finish, however, due to the nature of brass they will tarnish in time (particularly with items that are in high touch areas). Regular use of Mr Sheen and a soft cloth will add a protective coating to the surface and prolong the finish.
